Online Learning: The On-Ramp to Innovative Learning Models for New York’s New Majority Learners
Education came out of the lecture hall for good when online learning emerged in the mid-1990s. As it has evolved, online learning has afforded learners greater access to education. But it has also transformed how instructors teach, often to the betterment of their face-to-face courses as well. As we face a future of dramatically shifting demographics and are called upon to develop learning experiences for a wider range of students across a longer life and career, we need to co-lead the changes to come and must be an agent of change and not its victim. Those of us who have embraced learning outside of the traditional classroom must take this learning and boldly apply it to a future with more rapid waves of change than ever before. Spend this hour with me exploring how we can use what we have learned online to surf the waves of changes in a VUCA world.
